The Dr. Who Xmas Special was subtle and clever even thou the story line was weak. If that sounded like a contradiction in terms then I guess it was but it is Dr. Who we’re talking about.
Marley and Me was on my viewing list this holiday. As it was a first time viewing for me I wish I was warned that it was going to be a weepy. I thought maybe a comedy at best. But I loved it as I can relate to most of the story line.
A dog can make you feel special.

I know- I watched it before the 'pre screening' my sister usually does...and cried like a baby. Still a great movie, and want to see the Marley - The Early Years. I think that is what the newest movie is called.

I did.. But it didn't do anything? Maybe that is because he has already been to me?
P.s I will be in Luton evening of the 23rd January ..
I don’t glorify in war, that’s not what I’m about. I just watched The Green Berets for the umpteenth time. I just enjoy John Wayne films. It’s a very American film, well it was an American war I suppose but as an Englishman I still enjoyed it. What does bring a lump to my throat is not so much the film but the theme song.

I really enjoyed this movie too :)
My mother used to watch war movies all the time. I'd say to her, "You lived through that, how can you watch it again? It must have been horrible." I mean, I lived through the VietNam war and have no inclination to re-live it through movies. But WW2 movies must be different. More nostalgic or something. Pass the damn popcorn.
That last Vampire Diaries for this season had more twists than a game of twister!
I loved it … so there!
The Golden Compass, what can I say?! Well I read ‘Northern Lights’ (it’s original name) and delighted in it’s rich word of fantasy and saw the film at the cinema when it first arrived (2007).
It never stood a chance when it hit the silver screen as we were already seeing the Harry Potter films (from 2001) plus The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe which came out earlier that same year (2007) and of course The Lord of the Rings trilogy which came out just a few years earlier.
What did surprise me was it made an impact on the T.V screens and I hope by this they will at least consider finishing this trilogy.

I never missed the lion, the witch and the wardrobe..so it was good to hear it mentioned again :)
I so loved reading the trilogy, "His Dark Materials."
I had no desire to see the movie made of part 1. ::shrug::
"Put it on, big boy. I won't look at your willy."
Yep, I watched Brazil last night ... worthy of a viewing!

I agree. I was kind of disappointed to be honest. Tree people. They could have come up with better than that, me thinks.

Hmm, yes I am inclined to agree. I just think it was about the worse Dr. Who Christmas episode ever!
